How to prepare
- Avoid dental work, vaccines or other procedures around treatment when advised by your injector
- Do not stop prescribed blood thinners without medical guidance
- Tell us about allergies, pregnancy/breastfeeding, autoimmune conditions, cold sores, previous filler and recent illness
- Plan around possible bruising and swelling
What to expect
- Numbing may be used and filler is injected strategically
- Swelling, tenderness, firmness and bruising are common initially
- Results settle over days to weeks depending on product and area
Aftercare
- Avoid pressing or massaging unless specifically instructed
- Avoid strenuous exercise, significant heat and alcohol for the period advised
- Use cold compresses if recommended
- Contact your injector immediately for severe or increasing pain, blanching/white or dusky skin, unusual discoloration, or any vision change
